Recently we went out for Jaklyn’s bridal portraits at Philbrook. I so wish more girls would do bridal portraits. You most likely won’t have time on your wedding day to get some gorgeos, classic bridal portraits. And I can tell you how important it is to do a run through with your hair and makeup, and then stay in it for awhile. The day of the session after wearing her veil for an extended amount of time, Jaklyn realized her hair style needed to be altered in order for her veil to stay on. This is not something you want to be be bothered with on your wedding day. Anyway, get your bridal session done!
The day of the session was a gorgeous fall day! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. We also went downtown for a few urban bridals as well. It was there that our lovely bride nearly got mauled by a squirel. In a parking lot. I know. It’s random.

So “traditional” has become a dirty word in the wedding photography industry. But honestly, I love a traditional bridal portrait. It doesn’t have any fancy Photoshop work. It’s just a classic portrait of a gorgeous bride. If that makes me traditional, than I’ll glady accept the title.

Sometimes I make my brides do things that they think are really stupid. But then they laugh at me and I get shots like the one above. It’s worth it.

Stay tuned (whatever the heck that means) for Jaklyn and Blake’s wedding we photographed this weekend!
