So the tree is finally up and the house is decorated. I love this time of year! I’m super traditional and insist on getting a real tree and putting up the ornaments I’ve had my entire life. And this is no exaggeration; I have my own Baby’s First Christmas ornament. Sometimes I think I might like to do a lovely themed tree but I really can’t stand the idea of a Christmas season without getting out all the old ornaments. Since Paddycakes and I have been married we get an ornament every year as a couple. I haven’t decided on one yet for this year, though I’m sure I’ll find one soon. But enough about ornaments. Let talk movies!!
There’s no possible way I could narrow down to one favorite Christmas movie. So I’ll give you a few of my favorites.

White Christmas… the best Christmas movie ever. As a child I watched it year round. I know every word (and note) to every song. I know a lot of the choreography and can dance along. This isn’t something you necessarily want to watch me do. Year after year my family thinks its hilarious to sing the song “Snow” and year after year they sing it wrong. This bothers me.

Picking out one Christmas Carol was difficult for me but the Alistair Sim one has to be the best. His “salvation” scene beats all the rest. The second runner up to this one is the Muppet Christmas Carol. It’s fantastic!

Elf is obviously a more recent favorite but I can’t get enough of it. “Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?” ‘Nuf said.

And of course Christmas Vacation. Does it get any more comical? My father has tendencies towards acting like Clark, as I’m sure a lot of our fathers do. So when you need to laugh your butt off go rent it. Or rather go buy it. It’s worth it.
Being the Christmas Queen I obviously have lots of faves, but these are the top ones. I think. So tell me what your favorite Christmas movie is. And remember, for EVERY comment I donate a can of food!
