Kelsey & Josh: Married – Tulsa Wedding Photographer
On October 15th of last year there was some crazy action going on over on my Facebook page. A month prior I had started a contest giving away full wedding coverage. It was a fierce battle to say the least. I saw ads on Craigslist, there were FB groups started, there were bribes of brownies in college libraries, there were computers set up at the entrances of college bars… Like I said… fierce battle!! In the last seconds of the contest 2 couples were battling back and forth to get “Likes” on their pictures. One minute Kelsey and Josh would be up by 5, in literally the next minute Sasha and Zeb would be up by 5. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. But in the end… with well over 2000 likes(and only 15 ahead of Sasha and Zeb), Kelsey and Josh were the grand winners! What I learned from this contest is that both of those couples are very, very loved!! And now getting to know them both, I see why. (I’ll tell ya all about Sasha and Zeb after their wedding this weekend).
Kelsey and Josh are an amazing couple!! They’re both 2 of the nicest people you’ll ever know. They have an amazing heart for missions and they adore eachother. Kelsey is quite possibly one of the smiliest girls I’ve ever photographed. She’s a joy to be around! They got married in a simple and meaningful ceremony in a field under a large tree. It was just sooo them! And you could not have asked for better weather for their wedding!! The last couple May’s have been pretty brutal for either heat or rain, but their wedding day was gorgeous! It’s one I’ll remember for a long time. !!The opted to do their first look downtown. It was a great first look. I’m a sucker for tears!I LOVE bright colors!! Once again, Bridal Garden by Lindi didn’t dissapoint!
Okay I can’t not mention the Tom’s. Kelsey even had hers bedazzled!! So cute! Again, its just “them”!
(April’s shot.)
I told ya… all smiles!(Another one of April’s. So is the one below.)I won’t continue to harp on the importance of the first look. But for all those that say it takes away the specialness (is that a word?) of the walk down the aisle, this picture shows that it doesn’t. Still had the tears!
(all shot’s above were April’s. She’s such an amazing photojournalist and detail photog!! Her work totally rounds out mine!!)
Congrats again Kelsey and Josh! You guys are great!!
BTW, none of the top 5 winners went home empty handed! They all got prizes!
