Today is my Mom & Dad’s 30-something wedding anniversary! I know bias could be speaking here, but I probably have the best parents in the world. What an example they are to me and my siblings! And after all these years together they not only love each other, but they like each other! (well most days, comeon’ they’re still a married couple. 🙂 ) In all seriousness though, they are the most giving and wonderful people I’ve ever known. They were just kids when they got married, they put each other though college, they lived in the desert… in a tent! hello!, they’ve raised 3 kids that all have turned out fairly unscathed (If you’ve met any of the Marler children you understand that while we are well adjusted, we’re not exactly normal. And I wouldn’t have it any other way), and what they have, they give to others and their children. They laugh a lot. They’re goofy a lot. And they understand eachother.
This is how a marriage should be. And its not like the last 35+ years were all easy. At times it was hard, believe me, I was with them for 20+ years and saw what they went through. But very rarely did they ever stop laughing, and they’ve always put Christ first. Mom & Dad I don’t tell you enough how wonderful you are and how much I love you! Happy Anniversary!!
