Abigail & Adam’s Tulsa Historical Society Wedding
Certain weddings will always stick out in my mind – and Abby and Adam’s wedding is one of those! Abby is a wedding photographer (who trained under the same internationally known photographer that I did) and Adam is a videographer. (Together they form Ropp Studios out of Oklahoma City. When I first heard from Abby she told me she was a photographer and not only that, but she had also been under the training of Jerry Ghionis. The nerves set in. Listen – photographers can’t help it. When it comes to pictures we have super high expectations! So its an honor when another photographer chooses me to capture their day.
April was, as always, there shooting and assisting me. Today I am highlighting many of her photos because she took some amazing, amazing shots that day. Lately I’m realizing how blessed I am that one of the most talented photographers in all of Oklahoma works exclusively for me when it comes to shooting weddings. Trust me, other folks have asked her, but I’m the lucky one that gets her. Love you April!
Because Abby is a photographer, this post is heavy on portraits. Congrats again Abby and Adam! 🙂
For their first look, we went to Philbrook. I’m not joking when I say not 10 minutes before these images were shot, it was raining buckets. In August. In Oklahoma. But it all cleared up, just in the nick of time!
This is one of my favorite shots of the day. Such a sweet, candid moment. And my girl, April, is responsible for this shot.
Oh hiiii.
These two shots alone are an argument why a 2nd shooter is priceless. The left is my perspective, the right is April’s.
Another candid moment expertly shot by April. Abby chose to do a first look with both of her parents. Such a sweet moment.
You know I love me some DRAMATIC portraits. So these do my heart good.
We had to incorporate an antique camera into the ring shot.
Oh dear…. so much sweetness. Makes me teary eyed!
Oklahoma came through that night with a beautiful sky at last light.
All my best to you Adam and Abigail for your future. Thank you for allowing me to be such a big part of your wedding day!
