If you follow me on Facebook, you’ll remember me posting a few times about Melanee and Jonathan and their Winter Wonderland wedding. We were happy when it started snowing the week before. And then it kept snowing… and then it snowed some more. I have to admit that it was starting to get a little stressful even for me. So I can imagine that it was even more stressful for Melanee and Jonathan. But luckily all their friends and family made it in, and the roads were clear on the day of their wedding.
The wedding day was incredible from start to finish! It started at the Hard Rock Casino for preperations (and later, the after party) and the ceremony and reception were held at the always beautiful Vesica Piscis Chapel. The details in the chapel were amazing. Mershon’s took care of all the decor and flowers and did a beautiful job! Really the pictures will speak for themselves, so I’ll shut up now.blog1Okay you had to know that I wasn’t actually going to shut up. Let’s talk about this dress. This was dress #1 of 3. You’ll see the reception dress later. This dress was unbelievable! I think its my favorite dress of all time. Sooo gorgeous!!blog2

blog8I love it that I have fearless brides!! How cool is this chick?! Out in the snow in her gown? Yes please and thank you very much! We ran (yes ran) outside to get a couple shots in the snow before the sun went down. Melanee threw on a pair of boots and hopped in the snow. I love it that my brides trust me enough to know that doing insane things will get them gorgeous portraits. blog9The chapel was absolutely transformed with trees and candles everywhere!blog10

blog12LOVE!!! To me it just epitomizes Winter Wonderland!!blog13Oh the details… they were everywhere. And yes, these are actually mine and not April’s! Can ya believe it?! It definitely took both of us to cover all the fun details. Sooo fun! And the cake! It had lights on it!! That was actually a first for me!blog14I’ve been going through older wedding posts trying to figure out what I don’t post a lot of, and overwhellmingly its reception pictures. So I’m featuring a few more this time. And while I’m at it, I gotta mention lighting.  Its something a lot of people don’t think about, but having someone come in and professionally light your reception makes a world of difference in your photography and video!! And the pop of color, like in the picture above, is a great way to tie in your wedding colors.blog15

blog19blog18Love this shot of Melanee and her grandma on the dance floor. I can tell where Melanee gets her spunk!!
They decided not to do a first look, and because of that they understood that we simply wouldn’t have enough time to get an adequate amount of portraits so they scheduleded a “Day After” session later that week. We got tons of gorgeous pictures of them in the snow and I’ll share those soon, so check back!
