If you’ve been a blog reader for awhile, you’ll probably remember Melanee and Jonathan. If you don’t remember them, you may recognize them from their wedding being featured in the Perfect Wedding Guide. Or as my poster children on my Brides of Oklahoma ad. Or if none of those, here’s the link to their awesome wedding. 🙂 Needless to say, I love this couple. I loved shooting their wedding and getting to know them last year. So when they called and told me they were expecting and wanting to do a shoot I was thrilled! Here’s the thing, before a wedding I’m meeting and talking to and seeing my couples all the time. And then after the wedding, I don’t get to see them much (or at all). That’s the crappy part of my job. So I am always super excited when they call me up when its time for babies or just updated Christmas pictures. (ahem!)
Melanee and Jonathan wanted a special way to do a gender reveal of their baby for their friends and family. So we went out for this shoot and then we designed some cards for them to send to their family and friends. Love it!
Jonathan and his dad made this crate. Isn’t it amazing?? I’ve seen plenty of gender reveals where the couple does a cardboard box, and that’s cute, but this thing is just awesome!! We were at a great location and the light was yummy so I had to geek out and get one more family picture. I knew it would be worth it.
